RTO Validator Program 2022

RTO Validator Certification Program

WHY IS VALIDATION SUCH A BIG DEAL?
The RTO Standards and the NVR Act are very clear about the need for RTOs to use valid assessment tools and validate assessment outcomes. Regulatory focus on validation activities have increased dramatically over the last few years and far too many RTOs are failing audit due to validation practices and processes. State Funding Bodies are also clamping down on RTOs that do not have valid and compliant assessment tools and practices.

AREN’T TRAINERS AND ASSESSORS QUALIFIED IN VALIDATION?
Conducting valid and compliant validations is a very specialised skill and despite popular belief, completing a TAE qualification does not necessarily result in the skills and expertise required to conduct valid and compliant validations.

Although RTOs regularly ask trainers and assessors to conduct validation, it is essential that all validation team members are equipped with the knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure validation outcomes are reliable.

WHAT IS THE RTO VALIDATOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM?
The RTO Validator Certification Program is offered by AICP, the only RTO in Australia that specialises solely on RTO Compliance training. Responding to industry demands, AICP has developed the RTO Validator Certification Program for RTO Practitioners who want the recognition of their professional validation knowledge, skills and expertise.

  • prepare and complete validation records and documents
  • develop compliant validation and corrective action plans
  • identify validation requirements and potential problem areas
  • identify compliance gaps in assessment resources and outcomes

  • identifying the compliance requirements of each clause in the Standards for RTOs
